The Following Nan Microexpedition
2023 - ongoing
I joined the Following Nan Project’s inaugural microexpedition into Scotland’s infamous Cairngorm Mountains in 2023, following in Nan Shepherd’s footsteps. I was the expedition photographer and have since written several articles to promote the project.

I am also featured in ‘To Know A Mountain’ (Emily Baker, Michelle Sanders); the short film documents the journey with the aim of encouraging more women to explore the mountains and adventure in Nan’s style. ‘To Know A Mountain’ premiered at Kendal Mountain Festival 2024 and will be released in summer 2025.

Please find an article written for Sidetracked Magazine here (Note: this hasn’t been published yet so please do not share outside of this submission, thank you).

Romantic Croydon
2025

A new anonymous Instagram archival project publishing my collection of photography made in Croydon and nearby with the intention of documenting a different side to the borough.

Creative Microadventures in Croydon
2024
I received funding from Croydon Council to produce and run ‘Creative Microadventures in Croydon’, a series of creative guided walks which used non-technical and playful photography exercises mixed with mindfulness sessions to engage with nature in accessible and interesting ways. Participants also learned about local species and habitats through collaborations with local rangers as well as local creatives like Croydon’s former poet laurate Shaniqua Benjamin who ran a one-off poetry workshop. The walks received the highest percentage of positive feedback within the funded projects.

Rural Croydon
Croydon Council x National Gallery, 2023
I won this commission to produce a photographic body of work for a fixed exhibition. I managed the entire creative process bar exhibition production: pitching the idea, gathering contacts, producing photography, creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in the community like local rangers and council members, and liaising with the exhibition team. I managed the budget (up to £6k) and also commissioned a full companion website, copywritten by myself, all on a limited arts budget – and all within 2.5 months.

Crocus Valley
Published by RRB Photobooks
My photobook is a love letter to my hometown of Croydon – was published in 2023 as part of Croydon’s London Borough of Culture programme This is Croydon. The book launched with an accompanying outdoor exhibition in two local sites, launch party, and series of guided photo walks - all funded by National Lottery Heritage Funding. I commissioned Bev Jones, a local painter for the front cover and Shaniqua Benjamin, Croydon’s former poet laureate who created a written narrative to sit alongside the photography.
